Can I apply without an APS certificate?

For most applicants from Türkiye, no: since 2023 APS verification is mandatory for study visas and can take weeks. Put APS at the very START of your timeline.

Are there alternatives to the blocked account?

Yes: a recognised scholarship (e.g. DAAD) or a formal declaration of commitment by a German resident are the main alternatives. The standard remains the blocked account: €11,904/year (€992/month).

Can I work while studying?

Yes — students may work 140 full days (or 280 half days) per year, or up to 20 hours/week. Mandatory internships are counted separately.
